In the past it was often regarded as nothing more than an area for growing fruit and vegetables, but now we are aware of how much more a garden can be for us. It not only gives us the freedom to move but also serves as an outlet for the soul. Gardens are places of creativity and sources of inspiration, and they also help us to let our thoughts flow freely.

The combination of earth and water, colours and scents allows us to immerse ourselves in a completely new world which can be both a retreat and a meeting zone, a relaxing oasis and, at the same time, a source of strength.

This interplay between different forces and sensory impressions has been perfected by universal artist André Heller in his gardens. The versatility of his work and creations is also reflected in his garden design: André Heller creates places of pure vitality where you can discover something new at every corner.

Property with passion

Something completely new is also to be found in Laxenburgerstraße in Vienna, because here, on the former Beiersdorf grounds, the “Am schönen Platz” project by C&P Immobilien AG is being built in cooperation with S+B Gruppe AG.

What makes this place so beautiful is, above all, the garden and open space planning, which will be taken over by André Heller and his team.

With the green areas and the individual spaces placed within it – glass houses, meditation rooms and green spaces in “Bamboo Alley” and in the rooftop forest – the Heller team creates spaces with a special radiance which are designed with specially chosen plants, trees, spatial moments and artistic interventions. The holistic open space design has been especially developed for this location and project.

The central design concept brings powerful greenery into the neighbourhood and incorporates garden areas at different levels: “Bamboo Alley” on the southern edge as a recreation area, the green space between the residential buildings as a fragrance garden, and the Moroccan square with conservatories as a meeting point. Further green statements include the rooftop gardens, vertical façade planters, the wooded plant groups on the squares and construction units 10 and Alpha, which are surrounded by vertical green façade structures and intensively planted rooftop forests. These complement the dense housing development pleasantly and bring new, sensual qualities to the quarter.

The project’s official start gave a taste of what was to come with respect to the garden design. The first tree on the property was planted together in a small yet celebratory ceremony.

Schön ist gut, aber gut ist schöner

Beauty alone is not enough for us. This is because we develop living environments that are not only beautiful but also good. The project “Am schönen Platz” is intended to represent a symbiosis of modern apartments and atmospheric, vital outdoor facilities.

The residential area promises affordable living space with optimal infrastructure, local suppliers, kindergartens, schools, and parks that all ensure a high quality of life. Nearby recreation areas such as the Laaer Forest, the Bohemian Prater, the Oberlaa Kurpark and the Laabergbad swimming pool provide for varied leisure activities. Lush green spaces and modern sports facilities are also located in the immediate vicinity. The 60 investment apartments also have spacious private open spaces in the form of a balcony, terrace or private garden and offer a fantastic view of the Schneeberg mountain.
