Before buying a holiday home, you should look at your own financial situation and consider whether you might be able to apply for debt financing. Keep in mind that banks often require a high proportion of equity. In the case of financing, it must also be remembered that about eight to ten percent in purchase costs will also need to be added to the purchase price of the property (e.g. for registration in the land registry, property acquisition tax, etc.). Usually, as with other real estate financing, the property itself serves as security for the mortgage. Since financing a holiday property is a more complex form of financing, you should inform yourself in detail about the different financing options in advance and consider your decision carefully.

We love the sea! We have always been drawn to the south in the summer – even more so now, in our retirement.
