As a ‘klimaaktiv’ economic partner, we will not only be focusing on social sustainability in future but also on ecological sustainability – which is why every future project is expected to receive ‘klimaaktiv’ certification.

 

klimaaktiv is the climate change initiative from the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, the Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (abbreviated to BMK in German) and a management tool for the energy revolution. The focus is on four topics: building & renovation, energy saving, renewable energies and mobility.

What does climate protection cost?

“Building is expensive. That’s no secret. Renovation is even more expensive than building. But the most expensive thing for all of us is to destroy our habitat instead of preserving it.” In an interview with member of the Supervisory Board Helmut Raggam, himself a successful entrepreneur and shareholder at C&P Immobilien AG, the basic philosophy of C&P shines through: climate protection is not a marketing label but rather a form of self-protection. And it offers protection in economic terms, among many other things. This is because sustainability is an absolute must when you consider the situation from an economic perspective.

Taking into account life-cycle costs and the associated optimisation of the energy concepts of buildings require a departure from previous assumptions about construction. Transparency and practicability in building evaluation, quality assurance and operational optimisation as well as joint innovation lead to the desired (r)evolution in the use of energy potential. The initiative being pursued by the klimaaktiv partners establishes the required network to realise these potentials.
