As the Austrian market leader for investor housing in the retail segment, the new owner, C&P Immobilien AG, is expanding its portfolio into the tourism sector with its purchase of the business. Hinterstoder-Wurzeralm Bergbahnen AG will continue to operate the successfully established apartment hotel in a proven manner. With 330 beds in 73 apartments, the ALPRIMA is not only the largest accommodation business in the region and, therefore, a key driver of tourism across the entire Pyhrn-Priel region. Thanks to its modern concept and service offering, it also attracts new visitors to Hinterstoder and, in turn, ensures that the mountain railways get the all-important guest numbers they require.

 

Common goals and benefits for the region

The common goal is to achieve the number of overnight stays that had always been planned for the ALPRIMA, namely, 50,000 per year after the pandemic. Despite the long-lasting health crisis, the current positive trend in bookings is providing grounds for optimism that it will be possible to achieve this figure as early as next year. This creates a win-win situation for both companies and, above all, for the future of tourism in Hinterstoder and the Pyhrn-Priel holiday region. As the seller, Hinterstoder-Wurzeralm Bergbahnen will invest the proceeds in the planned mountain railway projects on site and the further development of the ALPRIMA brand of the Schröcksnadel Group.

Hinterstoder and ALPRIMA

Only in the literal translation of the name is the ground in Hinterstoder stony. In real life, the stone fronts of the Phyrn-Priel region contrast starkly with large alpine pastures and lush green meadows on the edge of the Kalkalpen National Park.
